Jimmy started his career with ‘Irish Industrial Components’ in 1984 and worked there until 1988. During his time there, Jimmy was trained in the Building and Wiring of ‘Electromechanical Control Panels’ and Programmable Logic Controllers. These products were manufactured on behalf of Aer Rianta, Bord Na Mona and ESB to name but a few.
In 1988 Jimmy travelled to Europe and worked in Holland for 2 years. Jimmy worked for ‘Ahrend Cirkel’ for these 2 years. Ahrend Cirkel is part of the AHREND Group, a multinational Dutch Manufacturing Company. Here Jimmy learned many valued skills in large-scale Manufacturing processes and new cutting-edge Production techniques.
In 1990 Jimmy returned to Ireland and began his career with Ventilux. Jimmy began in Production and during his first year became the Conversions Supervisor. In 1994, Jimmy became Senior Production Supervisor, playing a role in all areas of the Production process from Goods Inward to Dispatch and in between. In 2001 Jimmy became the Production Manager and has been in this role since then. Through Jimmy’s 30-year career in Ventilux, he has been trained and educated, both internally and externally, in all aspects of Production Processes and the Management of people and teams. He continues to keep all aspects of the Ventilux Production Department up to date with state-of-the-art equipment and a ‘LEAN’ philosophy instilled within the department. The department operates with ISO and BSI certification, and always strives to ensure that the cleanest and most environmentally friendly materials and procedures are used during its manufacturing processes.
