Manchester Airport, Manchester

Ventilux has played a pivotal role in the Manchester Airport Transformation Programme, collaborating with engineering and construction specialists to deliver a resilient, high-performance emergency power backup solution across the extended and reconfigured Terminal 2.

Our objective was to implement a 24/7 system capable of providing three hours of emergency lighting backup – even after the mandatory three-hour duration test – while maintaining high efficiency, integrating with smart building protocols, and supporting the airport’s growing infrastructure with distributed systems.

As part of the £1.3bn Terminal 2 Extension and Reconfiguration Programme, which began in 2015 and is scheduled for completion in 2025, our solution ensures uninterrupted operation and aligns with the latest IAW standards, contributing to a safer and more reliable passenger experience.
